Ben Hudson's 1985 Toyota LandCruiser GXL isn't your average 60 Series. Six years into the build, this Victorian rig runs a 6 litre LS swap tuned to 1006hp, and gets driven down the quarter mile on full wheelies just as often as it gets driven up a high country fire trail. Plates read MRRIG. The Instagram handle matches. The truck backs it up.

Under the bonnet is a forged 6.0L LS with ARP studs throughout, a cam package and a single turbo kit, backed by a 2000hp rated TH400 and breathing through a 4 inch turbo back exhaust and a 5 inch stainless snorkel. Ben's chasing a 9 second quarter mile next, along with a respray and more touring.

4 inches of Superior 13 inch suspension sits on custom leaf springs, with a locked rear diff and a custom anti wrap bar to handle the launches. Toyo Open Country RT tyres in 37x12.5R17 wrap Dirtylife Roadkill wheels in 17x9 with a -14 offset, and a 140 litre long range tank plus a 120Ah lithium dual battery setup on a Redarc BCDC keep it self sufficient out in the Victorian High Country, Ben's favourite camp spot.

Up front the factory sealed beams are gone for Bushdoof's 4x6 Angry Eye LED headlights, backed up by a set of Stedi driving lights on the ARB bar. Underneath, Bushdoof CX6 RGBW rock lights chase through the guards after dark, and the rig runs a Rhino roof rack, custom drawers, a 30 litre Dometic fridge and an Open Road 270 awning for the long stints away.

Inside it's a Pioneer double din, a Nardi woodgrain wheel and a set of Statesman seats with custom door cards. Ben's favourite mod is the engine and transmission combo, and it's easy to see why. An 1985 60 Series that goes from full wheelies on the strip to disappearing into the high country on the same weekend.
