Adjusting Your Custom Headlights - Bushdoof Lighting

Need to adjust the beam angle on your custom headlights? Read through our recommended method for properly setting your headlight alignment.

Things You'll Need:

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • 8mm Socket

You can use the factory adjusters on the back of the headlight housing to set the beam height and angle. The top adjuster generally controls the height of the beam. Tightening it will usually lift the beam higher. The lower adjuster works the opposite way. Tightening the lower adjuster pulls the bottom of the housing in and points the beam downwards. Loosening either adjuster will move the beam in the opposite direction.

Adjust them so the lights aren’t blinding oncoming traffic but still provide strong visibility on low beam. Make small turns each time and recheck the beam on the wall so you don’t over adjust. Ensure you are being super careful when adjusting as aggressively turning your adjuster can result in the adjuster becoming dislodged.
