Frequency Lock Explained: Reliable Remote Pairing for Bushdoof Products - Bushdoof Lighting

When running multiple RGB lighting products, the last thing you want is one remote unintentionally controlling everything at once. Bushdoof’s Frequency Lock feature, available on all products powered by our Fluid Colour System (FCS), allows you to lock each remote to specific controllers.

This means you can pair a remote to a single controller or multiple controllers of your choosing, giving you complete flexibility over your lighting setup. No cross signals, no frustration, just control exactly where you need it.

How Frequency Lock Works

To lock a remote to a specific controller:

  1. Power off the controller completely by using a switch or by removing the fuse.

  2. Press and hold the ON button on the remote.

  3. Re-power the controller while holding the button until the light turns green. Locking is now successful.

To unlock and reset the remote:

  1. Power off the controller completely.

  2. Press and hold the OFF button on the remote.

  3. Re-power the controller while holding the button until the light turns red. Unlocking is now complete.

Why Use Frequency Lock

If you have multiple Fluid Colour products such as RGB whip lights, rock lights or Halo headlights, Frequency Lock ensures your remote controls exactly what you want. Whether you want one remote to control a single product or several together, this system gives you the ability to create custom control groups without interference.

Final Thoughts

Frequency Lock is part of Bushdoof’s commitment to smarter, cleaner and more reliable lighting control. Combined with our Fluid Colour System, it makes managing multiple RGB setups easier than ever before.
