Halo Fog Light Installation Guide

Overview:

Our Bushdoof RGB Fog Lights provide reliable performance and full RGB control, designed to integrate seamlessly with your vehicle's lighting system. Follow this guide to properly install, wire, and configure your kit.

What you'll need:

• Phillips screwdriver
• Trim removal tools (if required)
• Socket set
• Electrical tape
• Zip ties
• Soldering iron or crimp tool
• Multimeter (optional)
• Vehicle manual (for reference)
• 5Ah inline fuse (recommended)

 

Step 1: Test Lights & Controller

• Lay out fog lights and RGB controller on a clean surface.
• Test all wiring and functionality prior to installation.
• Ensure mounting brackets are securely fastened to each fog light.

 

Step 2: Install Controller & Wiring

• Mount the RGB controller in a secure, accessible location.
• Extend red (positive) and black (negative) wires if required.
• Splice indicator wires into corresponding side indicators if desired.
• Connect controller to a 12V power source via switch or directly to battery.
• Install a 5Ah fuse on the positive wire for safety.
• Secure all wiring neatly with zip ties, avoiding sharp edges or heat sources.
• Refer to wiring diagram below for full details.

 

Step 3: Mount Fog Lights

• Place each fog light in the existing fog light location and fasten using the 4 screws provided and a Phillips head screwdriver.
• Ensure wiring passes clearly behind the light without obstruction or contact with sharp edges.
• Plug the fog lights into the existing plugs.
• If retrofitting, mount the fog light in the desired location and wire directly to a suitable 12V fused source:
• Red = Positive
• Black = Negative
• Plug the RGB controller into each fog light.

 

Step 4: Final Test & Configuration

• Ensure all lights function properly.
• Open the Bluetooth app and connect to the RGB controller.
• Rename the controller to easily identify it.
• Group it with other Bushdoof products to sync effects.
