Strip Light/Underglow Kit Installation Guide

Test strip lights and wiring prior to installation.
Overview:
Our Bushdoof LED Strip Lighting and Underglow Kits are built for reliable, customisable installation. Featuring strong adhesive backing, mounting clips, and full RGB control, they’re designed to handle tough conditions while providing seamless app control and integration.
What you'll need:
- Trim removal tools (if required)
- Phillips screwdriver
- Drill (optional for clips)
- Electrical tape
- Zip ties
- Multimeter (optional)
- Silicone sealant (optional for waterproofing)
- Inline fuse (5Ah recommended)
Step 1: Test Lights & Controller
- Lay out all LED strips and controller.
- Connect the controller and test all strip lights to ensure functionality before installation.
Step 2: Install Controller & Wiring
- Mount the RGB controller in a secure, dry location.
- Run extension wires to ensure each strip reaches its intended mounting position.
- Extend red (positive) and black (negative) wiring if required.
- Connect to a 12V power source via switch or directly to battery.
- Install a 5Ah fuse on the positive wire for safety.
- Optionally, wire to indicators and brake lights for additional functionality using the wiring diagram below.
- Secure all wiring neatly with zip ties, avoiding heat and moving parts.
Step 3: Mount Strip Lights
- Measure and position each strip light along desired locations.
- Use the 3M adhesive backing to secure each strip in place.
- For extra security, fasten using the provided white mounting clips.
- Route and tidy all extension wires, plugging them into the controller.
Step 4: Final Test & Configuration
- Power up and check all strip lights.
- Open the Bluetooth app and select the RGB controller.
- Rename the controller to easily identify it.
- Group with other Bushdoof products to sync effects.
