LED Whip Installation Guide

Overview:
Our Bushdoof LED Whips are designed for quick, straightforward installation, featuring a quick release base and simple wiring to integrate with brake lights, indicators, or other accessories. Follow this guide to seamlessly install and configure your whips.
What you'll need:
- Drill with 10mm drill bit (if required)
- 19mm spanner/socket
- Electrical tape
- Zip ties
- Multimeter (optional)
- Vehicle manual (for reference)
- 5Ah inline fuse recommended
Step 1: Mount the Whip Base
- Check packaging contents, you should have:
- 2x Bushdoof LED Whips
- 2x Quick Release Bases
- Controller & Wiring
- Extension wires - Drill a 10mm hole if necessary to mount the whip base.
- Tighten using a 19mm spanner/socket.
- Attach the LED Whip to the base via the quick release mechanism.
Step 2: Prepare & Route Wiring
- Mount the supplied controller securely, preferably in a dry, protected location.
- Connect positive (red) and negative (black) wires from controller to a 12V source via switch or battery.
- Use a 5Ah inline fuse on the positive wire for safety.
- Refer to wiring diagram below to connect additional functions such as indicators and brake lights if desired.
- Secure wiring neatly using zip ties and avoid heat sources or sharp edges.
Step 3: Final Test & Configure
- Test all wiring connections and ensure whips are functioning before final fitment.
- Open the Bluetooth app and select the RGB controller.
- Rename the controller and group it with other Bushdoof products if desired.
