2019 Toyota
HiLux SR5
The Bushdoof Angry Eye headlights changed the whole look of the car.
White, clean, and far from subtle. Cody Hall's 2019 HiLux SR5 has worn its WAGWUN plates around Perth for the last two years, built piece by piece with one direction: aggressive, purposeful, and lit like nothing else on the road.
Under the bonnet, the 1GD-FTV has been worked to just over 200 hp at the wheels on 35s. Dynamic Diesel Performance handled the 4-tune multi-map, bolted on a DDP in-house upgraded turbo, PDI front mount intercooler, and PSICO airbox โ finished with their own custom dual 4" straight-thru exhaust. Up top, a 4" stainless snorkel from Kings Customs feeds it.
Stance comes from Fox adjustable coilovers up front with a 4" coilover lift and 2" body lift, matched at the rear with 2" shocks, shackles, and matching body. Cal Off-Road UCAs, Phat Bars 30 mm diff drop, and PSR sway bar relocation plates keep the geometry honest. Rolling on KMC Grenade Beadlocks at 17x9 +0, wrapped in 35x12.5R17 Maxxis Razor MTs.
Lighting is the signature. Four Bushdoof products run the length of the truck โ Black Angry Eye headlights up front, G5 pods between them, CX6 RGBW rock lights along the sills and arches, and blacked-out GR-style LED tails at the rear. Dirty Bar electric rock sliders keep the paint intact. Inside, an Everse Nexus Pro 13.3" head unit finishes it off โ paired with a carbon fibre wheel.
Camp spots: Logue Brook, Preston Beach, Manjimup. What's next: more motor, a tub rack with a rooftop tent, and bar work to round it out.
